The purpose of this blog is to provide classroom teachers an opportunity to refresh their passion for teaching, review the latest in research and ways to apply it in their classrooms, and to reflect on our teaching with celebrations when things go well and revisions to our strategies when the end result did not meet our expectations.

My Brain is Overflowing

Reflecting on the past two weeks, I have to say that I am totally amazed with what has taken place in my head. WOW! I cannot imagine the amount of knowledge that has been piled into my brain. Not only have I read chapters in Troy Hicks, Steven Layne, and Sara Kadjer's books, I have continued with my addiction with blogging. Needless to say, I have somewhat neglected my own blog in the meantime. What I have learned is overwhelming. I've gone from digital literacies to the 21st Century Teacher and Learner. As I was reading through blog after blog, I stumbled upon educational blogs that I joined...and on and on it went. Now that I have all this "stuff" in my head it's time to focus on the podcast and digital photostory. I some how can't bring myself to creating a memoir...that's simply not me. Sifting through all the new thoughts and ideas that have gathered in my head over the past few weeks, I figured I'd keep on the path of relating my creations to my profession and daily work. With a few days left to pull all my resources together I'm going take a leap and connect Marzano, Rev. Blooms, and Schlechty to digital literacies. Time will tell...we'll see how it goes. I'm going to give it my best shot...wish me luck!

This is great! This country use to define literacy by just being able to sign your name to a document. And that really was not that long ago. Great job! Bill
